Youth Project
A welcoming youth service for young people aged 10 to 24 in Tuam and the surrounding areas. A safe space to take part, build confidence and meet people.
Everybody is welcome
The project supports young people going through financial or social difficulty, young people in foster care, neurodivergent young people, young people from the LGBT community, and anyone who needs a bit of support. If you are not sure whether it is for you, it is.
What is on and when.
A regular programme so young people know where they stand and what is coming up.
Youth Club
Ages 13 to 17, boys and girls, 15:00 to 18:00 in The Hub and The Lounge.
Craft Corner
Ages 10 to 12. Crafts and structured group activities.
Music with Ray
Beginners and advanced. Music, and the confidence that comes with it.
Boxfit and soccer
With the Arts Academy and Tuam Celtic.
Girls Group
Based in the Community House.
Tús participants
Ages 18 to 24. Peer activity and social connection.
Trips, training and opportunities.
A lot of the best work happens outside the building.
Sport and wellbeing
Soccer with Tuam Celtic, boxing at the Arts Academy, and activity that builds teamwork as much as fitness.
Creativity
Hip hop, painting, music generation and the Oral History Mentoring Programme.

Sailing, the Belonging Event at ATU Galway, and the Letterfrack and Diamond Hill trip.
Training
NYCI, EPIC, Involve Leadership Training, HACCP and support with driving lessons.

There is no single formal pathway. Come whichever way suits.
Word of mouth
Most young people hear about us from friends, family or our social media.
Schools
Teachers, principals and Home School Community Liaison can refer or signpost.
Family and guardians
Parents and guardians can link a young person in with us directly.

The Children’s Disability Network and our other projects can refer across.
